Africa Faculty Development Workshop (02-08 June 2024) Hosted by Strathmore University Business School, Nairobi, Kenya
The Africa Academy of Management (AFAM) would like to announce a continuation of the Africa Faculty Development Workshops (AFDW) that were held previously by Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in Accra, Ghana; University of Rwanda in Kigali, Rwanda; University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa; Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, American University in Cairo in Cairo, Egypt, virtually by Stellenbosch Business School, and the University of South Africa in Pretoria, South Africa in 2023. The next workshop will be hosted by the Strathmore Business School, Strathmore University in Kenya from 02-08 June 2024. Applications for this workshop are welcomed through March 29, 2024.
The Africa Faculty Development Workshops are a series of programs aimed at promoting excellent PhD and new faculty research, assisting with the advancement of research scholarship, and helping to develop the next generation of Africa’s academic leaders.
AFAM invites scholars from across the African continent to engage in an intensive weeklong workshop to improve upon the theory, methodology, and presentation of their research projects. This workshop includes interactive paper development sessions where participants receive extensive feedback on their research, presentations from faculty on research, and networking opportunities.
How to Apply
Africa Faculty Development Workshops are open to participation by junior faculty members and advanced PhD students whose research focuses on organizational and management issues in business, government, and civil society in Africa.
