AFAM has six (6) standing committees that work to fulfil the mission and objectives of the academy. According to the AFAM By-Laws, all standing committees consist of five (5) members. All committees are chaired by an Executive Board member. Members are recruited from both the Executive as well as the AFAM membership. Special efforts are made to include members in Africa. Works closely with the Treasurer to ensure sound financial management of AFAM assets and identify funding sources.
Identifies educational opportunities and manages faculty development workshops and webinars.
Proposes candidate slates for Executive Board positions and conducts biennial elections.
Recognizes research, education, and practice excellence in management in/or about Africa
