The 1st conference was a great achievement and milestone for AFAM as this was where AFAM was launched during the AOM conference, which was hosted by Saint Antonio, Texas, USA. The conference theme was ‘Advancing Africa through Management Knowledge and Research’. The conference was officially opened by IFSAM President, the late Sue Brunning.
