Conference Theme
“Managing Africa’s Future: Prospects and Challenges”.
The theme was coined to have a positive outlook about the future of management in the continent. The conference was officially opened by Safaricom President, the late Robert Collymore. As usual, the conference was attended very well with diverse representation of several participants from various regions including Africa, North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Strathmore University, founded in 1961 as an A-Level College by professionals inspired by Saint Josémaria Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei, has evolved into one of East Africa's most respected private universities. Beginning with its School of Accountancy in 1966 to train accountants for Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, the institution expanded to offer Information Technology courses in 1991 and has since grown to serve over 5,000 students across multiple disciplines.
