Partnership Development Committee

The Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing AFAM’s financial health and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Treasurer to ensure sound financial management of AFAM assets.
  • Manage AFAM finances according to good financial practices and in accordance with the requirements specified for a non-profit organization.
  • Ensure all financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Review biennially financial statements prepared by the Treasurer.
  • Safeguard the financial assets of AFAM by ensuring proper internal controls are in place.
  • Review any financial transactions over $5,000 and submit the request to the Executive Board for final approval.
  • Identify possible funding sources to support the mission and activities of AFAM.
  • Coordinate with the President in approaching possible funding sources.
  • Prepare an annual report of the financial health of AFAM for the Executive Board.
